Hatem joins Team McDadi after forging a successful career in sport management and business leadership roles. Hatem recently served as the Senior Vice-President of High Performance and Sport Development for Tennis Canada for over 25 years. Before that, he worked in the private sector as the co-founder of a top Canadian tennis academy and Club Management Group (CMG). that helped manage private sector tennis and sport facilities.

As a member of the senior management team at Tennis Canada, he worked with the Board of Directors, staff, partners, and constituents to help build a world-class Canadian sport system/structure. This includes leading a strong team of coaches, staff, administrators, athletes, sport science leaders and working with external stakeholders and partners to help Canadian tennis become a world leading tennis nation. Canadian tennis achieved historic results during this time including an Olympic gold medal, Grand Slam singles, doubles, and mixed doubles titles and winning the World Cup of men and women tennis. During his tenure, grass roots participation, fan support, sponsorship, and business development delivered historic growth.

Hatem is a former ATP world ranked tennis player, Canadian tennis national champion, national team member and Olympic coach. He has a bachelor’s degree from McGill University. He lives in Streetsville with his wife, Jennifer, and their three active children. Hatem loves spending time with family, friends, living a healthy, active lifestyle and supporting meaningful causes in the community.
